Experienced Ultraron Runner Dion Leonard participated in the most difficult tolerance worldwide. His journey as a runner took him to a place where only the strongest people could tolerate. On June 27, 2016, Dion Gobi participated in March, a 155 mile (250 km) racing through the rigid, forgiving terrain of the Gobi Desert of China. The race was claiming that sand malls, mountains and remote villages extend throughout the villages, where the temperature may rise during the day and sink at night.
It was during this race that the path of Dion was an impossible companion – crossed with a small stray dog who later became known as Gobi. On the second day of the race, when Dion ran through the landscape of the huge desert, he noticed that a small dog had begun to run along. The tiny dog mixed with the desert with the desert maintained speed with an experienced runner, it seems to be seemingly continuous by heat and strict conditions.
At first, the dion assumed that the dog would eventually fall behind or wander, as stray animals sometimes do. However, surprisingly, the dog continued along with him for miles, never straying from his side. Despite his small size, Gobi Gobi crossed the angry area of the desert and showed extraordinary patience by holding the dion. He was not just racing – he was staying near, as if determined to stick to Dion, regardless of the challenges ahead.
For Dion, it was not a simple face. As the competition continued, he could not help Gobby’s loyalty and elasticity. He didn’t have to run with him, and he still chose. It became clear that Gobi decided that Dion was his person, and he would not leave his side. “It was just a decision that he wanted to do,” the dion remembered later. “He wanted to be by my side.”
The bond between Dion and Gobi has become more powerful with each passing mile. At night, when other contestants rested in their tent, Gobi followed Dion in his tent and slept beside him. At this moment, Dion realized that this little dog had just become a stray beside him – he became his associate. He decided to supply food and water from his own limited supply, despite the risk of his own performance.
It was not an easy choice to carry over weight and share its rations, especially during this national acute race. However, Gobi was valuable for Dion for him. Even when the water was too deep to overcome his small frame, he would still take him to the river. “I saw a lot of courage and elasticity in him,” Gabi shared the dion by reflecting on how much he touched his heart. His view of Determination reminds him of his own childhood and the obstacles he had overcome. Gobby’s spirit made his own reflection and their connection became deeper than the expectation of Dion when he started the first journey in this race.
As the race was over, Dion knew that leaving Gobby was not an option. He made his mind – he would find ways to bring him home in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he lived with his wife. When Dion called his wife to tell Gobi, he immediately supported the decision to bring the dog home. He could not wait to meet the dog that created such an idea on Diaon.
However, the process of bringing Gobi to Scotland will prove to be more complicated than Dion expectation. After the race, Gobi had to be separated, which was a necessary step before he was transferred internationally. In China, a merciful volunteer proposed to take care of Gobi, and Dion returned to Edinburgh for his travel papers and supplies. Until Until Until Until Until, everything seemed to be going according to plan – Gobby went missing.
When Dion received the news that Gobi disappeared, he was devastated. The thought of losing a dog who showed such an obedience during the competition was unbearable. Determined to find him, Dion immediately got on a plane and returned to China. Once he arrived, he introduced a full-scale search to identify Gobi. Dion’s attempt to find local volunteers, colleagues runners and even media help became a community effort.
Dion spent the days in search of his lost friend in the hope of searching, setting posters and talking to locals. His journey to reunite with Gobby was full of uncertainty, but the dion refused to leave. He even enrolled his search, shared updates and expressed support from people who had heard about their stories. A few days after the relentless search, Dion’s attempt stopped. He got a call with the news he hoped – Gobby was found.
The moment of their reunion was no less than the magician. Gobi immediately recognized the Dion and ran directly to his arm. The bonds between them were never broken and their joy was evident as it was re -united. Gobi went through a lot, but his loyalty and love for Dion was strong in the whole ordeal.
Gobby returned to his side safely and started the process of bringing Dion to Scotland to his home. It was waiting and prepared for a long five months, but in the end, the journey of Gobby was completed. After 48 hours aircraft, he arrived in Scotland, where Dion and his wife welcomed him with open weapons.

He pretended to be a veterinarian. It is not surprising to know that at least a dog has already confirmed the dead as a result of his fraudulent veterinary work. First of all, he was wrongly locked by multiple dogs without any food or water.
Today, Gobi is living a happy life in her forever house, which is surrounded by love and care. He visited a stray dog in the rigid Gobi desert to a lightening member of Dion’s family. What started as an opportunity meeting in one of the world’s most apologized landscapes was blown in a beautiful relationship that could not predict both Dion or Gobi.
