The rescue received photos of dogs lying on wood with four chilling sounds

When the team at Stray Rescue of St. Louis (SRSL) saw a picture of a dog lying on a pile of wood, their hearts immediately broke. Accompanying the image were just four chilling words: “Dog shot, help needed.” Without hesitation, Cassady, one of the rescuers, stepped into action. “Bring me that baby,” he DrDetermined to save the puppy. A good Samaritan stayed by the dog’s side, waiting for help. Soon, the rescue team arrived and carefully lifted the frightened dog from the pile of wood and carried him to safety.

The team named the dog propeller. They knew he was injured, but the extent of his condition was not clear until he reached the veterinary hospital at SRSL. As they worked to comfort him, they were hopeful that his injuries would not be life-threatening. The veterinary team quickly assessed his condition and discovered that the bullet wound was serious but miraculously avoided major damage. Shrapnel was embedded in his leg, but it missed his vital organs, spine and knee joint. Propeller injuries, though painful, were treatable.

He underwent surgery to remove the chapel and the operation was a success. Restoration of the propeller began almost immediately. “(T)his gunshot victim was very fortunate not to suffer permanent injuries,” SRSL wrote. FacebookSpeaking of the true miracle of his survival. Propeller’s kind and loving nature shines through from the moment he arrives at the rescue, despite the trauma he has endured.

“She’s almost 2 years old and a total love bug,” SRSL to share. Although shaken by his ordeal, the Propeller team was comforted by his fondness for him. Within weeks, he was back on his feet, regaining his strength and rediscovering his playful personality. Now, she spends her days running and playing with other dogs at the shelter.

Propeller is thriving in foster care, but the team knows he’s ready for the next chapter in his life. They hope to find him a forever home where he can enjoy the comfort of a comfy bed, bask in sunny spots and receive endless love from his new family. His friends at SRSL have no doubt that Propeller’s perfect match is out there.

A fraudulent veterinary practice leads to heartbreaking losses

He pretended to be a vet. It should come as no surprise to learn that at least one dog has already been confirmed dead as a result of his fraudulent veterinary work. After all, he wrongly locked up multiple dogs with no food or water.

“This dog is the epitome of love here,” SRSL wrote. “He is kind, He is merciful and so perfect (and) easy-going.” Until the day of his adoption, Propeller will bring joy to everyone he meets, proving that adversity, love and resilience prevail.
